BOA’s highly-innovative Fit Lacing System has become something of a hot commodity among trail runners, and Altra Running is looking to make the most of it. The boutique performance brand has revamped its signature Mont Blanc silhouette with BOA’s proprietary tech.
The Mont Blanc BOA sits on Vibram’s Litebase compound that keeps it incredibly lightweight while providing the same traction we’re accustomed to seeing from Vibram. The shoe is bolstered by Altra’s signature Altra EGO MAX midsole foam that provides unrivaled cushion through the most strenuous runs. The BOA Fit System’s semi-adjustable functions provide trail runners with a precise fit and feel. By simply tuning each dial on the shoes, you can create a personalized fit built to take on whatever obstacles might come about.
As the same applies to a standard pair of Altra’s Mont Blanc trail runners, the new iteration features many elements that make its predecessor great. One example is the shoemaker’s trademark FootShape comfort tech that zones in on structural differences between men’s and women’s feet, resulting in an optimized feel no matter who is wearing the shoe. The runners are also equipped with a Balanced Cushioning platform to keep your heel and forefoot the same distance from the ground.
The innovative trail runner has currently been shown off in one colorway: Maroon Bells. Altra’s new-and-improved Mont Blanc BOA is available on the brand’s online store for $210
