In 2021, Canyon introduced the world to its Precede:ON CF 8 ebike, and while this battery-assisted two-wheeler quickly garnered an immense following, it’s thus far only been available in select markets — non of which include America. The success of the bike has now prompted the German bicycle manufacturer to finally unleash the Precede:ON CF 8 on the U.S. market.

Available in medium, large, and xtra-large frame sizes, the Precede:ON CF 8 is constructed around a state-of-the-art rigid carbon fiber frame with an ultra-sleek design language. Tipping the scales at 46.4lbs, the bike’s frame also sports a cockpit with an integrated Bosch Kiox display and an integrated kickstand. Other hardware and componentry on the Precede:ON CF 8 include a Shimano XT gearset, an LED headlight, and internally routed wires throughout.

At the heart of the bike is a Bosch Performance Line motor with 63ft-lbs of torque on tap — a figure that allows for a top speed of 28mph. Oversized aluminum fenders fore and aft, a height-adjustable seat, and rear Ortlieb luggage rack both come as standard, as well. The bike’s motor draws from a 500-Wh battery that can be charged using a standard household outlet.

Available for order now, the Canyon Precede:ON CF 8 eBike has been priced starting at $4,299.
