Bremont Unveils Its Very First In-House, British-Made Automatic Movement

Started by brothers Nick and Giles English, Bremont is one of the newer players in the luxury watch game, having been founded just under 20 years ago in 2002. In the subsequent years the Henley-on-Thames firm has managed to carve out an impressive reputation through its production of top-shelf timepieces that can go toe-to-toe with more established horological outfits. Thus far, Bremont has utilized Swiss-made motors in its watches, though just in time for the holiday season, the company has announced a limited edition run of its Longitude model that’s powered by an in-house developed and manufactured automatic movement that’s made in the UK.

Offered in stainless steel, white gold, or rose gold case materials, each of the watches’ 40mm housings are crafted using Bremont’s proprietary Trip-Tick construction and are further fortified via a scratch-resistant PVD-treated case barrel. At the heart of the timepieces is Bremont’s new caliber that is made entirely in the UK: the 22-jewel ENG376 automatic movement which runs at 25,200bph with KIF Shock protection, a 65-hour power reserve, and rhodium-plated bridges with a gold-plated automatic bridge. The gold versions of the Limited Edition Longitudes also come paired with a genuine alligator leather strap while the stainless steel spec gets an alligator-embossed calf leather piece.

Backed by a three-to-five-year warranty, the Bremont Limited Edition Longitude watches are available now starting from £14,995 ($20,675) for the stainless steel variant and going up to £20,995.00 ($28,950) and £21,995 ($30,325) for the rose gold and white gold versions. Scheduled to ship out on December 1st, the stainless steel version is limited to only 150 units worldwide while the white and rose gold variants will be restricted to just 75 pieces each.

Purchase: $20,675+
