The Japanese firm just announced the upcoming release of its groundbreaking GEL-NIMBUS 25, which vows to be the most comfortable running shoe ever (as verified by runners during an independent study conducted by The Biomechanics Lab). First debuting in 1999, when minimalism was still supreme in the running world, the GEL-NIMBUS has always been ahead of the curve in terms of chunkiness and cloud-like comfort. One glimpse at the upcoming sneaker and it’s obvious that something new is happening on the inside.
Available in twelve colorways, including the Platinum edition, which sports a darker color and iridescent accents, the GEL-NIMBUS 25 benefits from new tech and materials, such as an updated PureGEL insole for maximum shock absorption and softness, FF BLAST PLUS ECO cushioning for 20% more foam than before, and a revamped knit tongue and collar for better adaptivity and easier step-in. Neutral support, a 10.3-oz weight, and an 8mm drop also help make this shoe perfect for pounding the pavement over a long distance.
