Be it the Roswell Incident of New Mexico in July 1947, the Lubbock Lights of Texas in August 1951, or the dozens of others that took place between June and August over the years, it’s a statistical fact that UFO sightings are notably higher during the summer months than they are the rest of the year. This trend has created an association between aliens and this time of year, crossing over to the likes of cinema as well, with summer blockbusters such as E.T. and Men In Black. Either people are just outside more during these months or the aliens just like to visit more when the weather’s nice.
