Styrofoam is atrocious for both the environment and your health, as it’s made from a very harmful chemical named styrene. Still, we continue to use it to make everything from paper plates to coolers. The world famous Igloo company is on a mission to get rid of single-use styrofoam coolers with a reusable, biodegradable substation dubbed The Recool.

The Recool biodegradable cooler can hold up to 20 cans of your favorite brew and keep ice frozen for up to 12 hours. Styrofoam is slowly being filtered out of everyday use, as several cities, including Los Angeles and New York, are placing bans on the toxic material. Igloo’s Recool Cooler will make it easier for people to avoid styrofoam cold boxes, which can’t be recycled. Igloo’s game-changing biodegradable cooler will reportedly be selling for $10 and should hit retail shelves on March 1.
