Seiko x Rowing Blazers Team Up Again on Colorful Dive Watch Collection

In 2021, Seiko teamed up with East Coast prep-wear icon Rowing Blazers on a unique — some would say unhinged — take on the former’s SRPJ91 timepieces. Last year, they followed that up with colorful versions of the SRPJ61 diver. Both releases sold out incredibly fast, which was to be expected. And so, it’s a good thing these we’ll continue to get one of these capsules annually. Now, for the third year in a row, the two brands are back for yet another watch collab, once again taking on the Seiko 5 Sport canvas.

Featuring four models in total, the new collection, which will see 888 editions of each, was designed by Rowing Blazers founder Jack Carlson and renowned watch expert Eric Wind of Wind Vintage. One could see this year’s edition as an extension of last year’s, which was also based on the 5 Sport template and features the same approach as this recent release. While the 2022 version got dials with the colors green, orange, blue, and black, the 2023 edition instead gets yellow, pink, purple, and white dials.

Just like the black dial variant, this year’s white dial model features multi-colored hour markers, while the lumed hour markers on the other three versions are gray. In fact, every other detail, right down to the 40mm stainless steel case, candy cane seconds hand, and crown near the 4 o’clock spot, is the same as 2022. However, these releases are not about innovation but the expression of color and personality. Each watch gets an additional nylon strap option to go along with the steel bracelet: The yellow dial gets a red-yellow-green strap, the pink gets a navy and white strap, the purple gets a green and yellow strap, and the white gets a pastel pink strap.
