British watchmaker Bremont has been steadily refining its Supermarine collection since CEO Davide Cerrato took the helm in 2023. What started as the original Trip-Tick case design has evolved into something more focused and contemporary. The 500m launched in 2024 with that striking jungle green ceramic case, followed by April’s black-dialed steel version. Now we’ve got this Polar White edition, and frankly, it might be the most stunning of the bunch.

A Heritage Worth Diving Into

The Supermarine name traces back to the legendary Supermarine S6B seaplane and, more famously, the Spitfire fighter. While that aviation DNA runs deep through Bremont’s entire philosophy, its dive watch execution feels properly maritime. The original Supermarine diver debuted way back in 2009, and while this new generation shares little with that ancestor beyond the name and 500m depth rating, the evolution shows a brand that’s willing to reinvent rather than rest on past designs.

Creating Contrast

Just like past versions, the watch is housed in a 43mm case made from 904L stainless steel with a surprising 12.98mm thickness and a helium escape valve that helps it achieve its 500m of water resistance. However, with the Polar variant, the 3D wavy dial pattern really gets spotlighted, contrasted with the matte black ceramic bezel insert with laser-engraved markings. The applied hour markers also get framed in black for contrast, while blue-glowing Super-LumiNova brings a dose of color to the timepiece.

The watch comes with three band options, including gray-and-black NATO strap, a black rubber strap, and Bremont’s proprietary stainless steel bracelet with infinity-shaped links, alternating between satin and polished surfaces.

Technical Substance

Under the hood sits the BB64AH movement, which is Bremont’s designation for the reliable Sellita SW300-1A with 56 hours of power reserve and 28,800 BPH frequency. It sits behind a screw-down caseback featuring an engraved world map of the oceans to complete the aquatic theming.
