YETI may be a household name in the world of drinkware and camp coolers but the Texas-based company has always been dedicated to widening its net, from waterproof backpacks to 5-gallon buckets. Featuring some fantastic top-shelf options to your average drinkware, the Rambler collection in particular has been quite ambitious. If you do a search on the brand’s website, “Rambler” produces over 500 results. Over the years, we’ve not only seen its flagship Rambler tumblers and mugs in myriad sizes and lid options but we’ve also seen this expand to ice buckets, wine chillers, and recently cocktail shakers. However, with its latest addition to the family, YETI sees its first-ever coffee maker.

Why French Press?
Truth be told, YETI is not in the business of electric-powered items (yet, at least), so dealing with coffee makers will limit their options — the main ones being French press, pour-over, or cold brew. And while a pour-over vessel would be fun, and a definite possibility in the future, French press is a more ambitious choice considering everything it requires.
French press is designed to slowly extract the coffee by plunging a filter down through the combination of water and grounds, allowing the drinkable coffee to remain up to. On many occasions, the vessel can double as a pitcher or mug from which the coffee can be held so you can drink at your own pace.

The Rambler French Press Basics
Like a traditional French press, the Rambler utilizes a kitchen-grade 18/8 stainless steel wall — double-wall vacuum insulated, if you haven’t already guessed — and it features a steel mesh plunger. However, the twist here comes with the proprietary GroundsControl filter. A major aversion people have to the French press style is how easy it is to over-extract the coffee, with the grounds and water still coming into contact even after you’ve plunged. But with YETI’s design, which admittedly has been attempted by others to a lesser result, the filter stops the brewing process after plunging.
Available in 34- and 64-ounce containers, which range from 2 cups to over 6 cups, the Rambler French Press is also designed to be a pitcher for your coffee, keeping it hot as you drink it throughout your day. Similar to the brand’s Stronghold lid, the Twist-to-Lock lid on the French press is see-through to help with the brewing process.
