Why We Love Beer
Our love for beer goes beyond just how good it tastes. You may not know it, but beer is nearly as old as recorded human history. For centuries people have celebrated their successes, mulled over problems, and mourned their losses over pints of the stuff. That means this beverage, at its core, is a societal and congregational tool rivaled only, perhaps, by food. And as long as it has been around, people have been sharing it amongst one another. Today, that tradition still continues.
The Beer Review Logbook
We’ve tried many beers in our time, but we can’t remember them all. Chances are, if you’ve got a beer fan in your life, they’ve had a similar problem. With this Beer Review Logbook, your gift recipient can make strides toward figuring out exactly what beers they have and haven’t enjoyed. It also helps as a tool for palette development, as the page layout encourages the user to take notes on the flavor profiles of each beer they taste.
Hexcup Beer Pong Set
For anybody who has been to a house party in any of the last ten years, beer pong (or, more accurately, Beirut) is likely a familiar game. One of the biggest drawbacks to the standard Solo brand cups used in the game, however, is their tendency to “drift” or “float” as a result of liquid on the game table. This unique reusable set of cups bypasses that issue with their innovative design. And the hexagonal honeycomb-inspired shape “interlocks” the cups in a tight formation for the perfect rack every time.
Corkcicle Chillsner Beer Chiller
This little hard-to-describe device is one of the best things to have with you on any occasion in which you have beer that’s not quite cold yet. Rather than waiting for beers to cool down in your fridge, just pop the cap and fit one of these from your freezer into any standard long-neck bottle and enjoy refreshingly cool beer immediately from start to finish. And they come in a two pack – in case your generosity only goes so far.
Draft Top Lift
Sometimes pouring a can of beer into a glass isn’t an options. For those who want to release the flavors of their favorite brew but don’t have a tumbler nearby, check out this Draft Top Lift, which safely and easily turns your can into a drinkable mug. Who says there are no more good ideas?
The Book of Hops by Dan DiSorbo
Even if you love hoppy beer, chances are there’s a lot you need to learn about the bitter ingredient. In Dan DiSorbo’s fully-illustrated guidebook, The Book of Hops, he breaks down hops into its different varieties and also informs us on the science and history behind it.
Huski Beer Cooler
Forget those cheap drink koozies you get at fan events. Huski’s Beer Cooler is a serious holder for your beer can, made from triple-insulated stainless steel to keep your brew cold for as long as it takes to drink it (within reason) and equipped with a built-in 3-in-1 bottle and can opener in the base.
Whiskey Peaks Double Wall Beer Stein
You may be familiar with Whiskey Peaks’ rocks glasses, which each feature a different mountain peak from around the world at the bottom. Well, did you know it made a beer stein too? For the beer lovers out there, this double-walled glass enhances the drinking experience and comes with a glass rendition of Mt. Hood at its base.
Beer Drop Subscription Box
Given the amount of amazing craft brewers in the world, you shouldn’t just settle on the same beers over and over again. To help with your discovery, you should consider Beer Drop, a subscription box that lets you select from either 3, 6, or 8 beers per month and then curates your box specifically for you after you choose from eight different ale styles (hoppy, fruity, dark, etc.)
Rastal Teku Beer Glasses
High-quality craft beer requires a high-quality vessel. This 2-set of Teku Beer Glasses from Rastal will elevate your drinking experience with its angular shape and flared opening meant to enhance the aromas and flavors of your brew. Likewise, the stemmed bottom prevents your hands from warming up your beer from the outside.
Duke Cannon Beer & Bourbon Soap Set
If your love for beer extends to wanting to rub it all over your body, then check out this Soap Set from Duke Cannon, which features literal bars of soap made with the likes of Budweiser and Busch, along with Buffalo Trace bourbon and rum-based soaps.
Pop Chart The Very Many Varieties of Beer
For lovers of both clever graphic design and the wide wide world that is beer varieties, this poster from Pop Chart is a singularly enjoyable work of art. Like a beautifully executed flow-chart or a beer family tree, this diagram shows every major variety of beer and nearly every sub-category of each. And, if you’re looking for a specific kind to try, the tiniest print is a list of beer options you can find in the real world.
Kanga The Kase Mate Beer Cooler
Traveling with a few beers may be doable, but lugging an entire 12-pack to your camping or hiking trip may be a drag. With Kanta’s Kase Mate Beer Cooler, you can keep any 12-pack of beer (in the box) cold for up to 7 hours without ice inside without adding any bulk of a giant cooler.
YETI Brick Bottle Opener
A bottle opener is a bottle opener is a bottle opener. Except when it’s the Yeti Brick. Made by a brand renowned for their superb outdoor coolers, this massive 3/4-pound stainless steel bottle opener is kind of like keeping on hand a structural beam that happens to be efficient at popping the top off beers. It’s honestly the most rugged opener we’ve ever seen. But they’re limited, so pick one up while you can.
Wren Off-Road Growler
There are a lot of growlers out there, but this outdoor-focused option from Wren is one of the sleekest options for anyone who doesn’t want to forego their favorite ale out in the wild. This 64-ounce beverage container offers the same double-wall vacuum insulation that can keep water cold for hours and hours, but the size is the same as a standard large growler found at nearly every single brewery around the country.
Northern Brewer Craft Beer Making Kit
Get your loved one everything he needs to make his own beer from the comfort of his own home. With Northern Brewer’s Craft Beer Making Kit, you can select the style of brew that’s preferred before receiving the essential ingredients and tools needed to craft a gallon of it inside your kitchen.
Huckberry x Coors Vintage Swim Trunk
Don’t be ashamed of your love for cheap domestic beer; wear it proud on your pants when hitting the beach or pool next summer. Huckberry and Coors recently teamed up for a retro-inspired clothing series, featuring these branded swim trunks, in both red and blue.
The Spartan Carton Leather Beer Carrier
If you or someone you’re gifting needs a more reliable – those cardboard carriers can be a bit flimsy – and design-forward way to transport a 6-pack of beer, try the Spartan Carton. This made-to-order handmade carrier is crafted from leather, masonite, and plyboo (a bamboo product). That means it is both far more handsome and structurally sound than almost any other 6-pack carrier.
HomeCraft Growler Beer System
Create a mini-taproom in your own home with HomeCraft’s Growler Beer System, a countertop unit that fits a 5-liter mini keg and enhances the drinking experience. The kegerator also comes with an adjustable temperature gauge and features silent operation so you don’t annoy your housemates.
Goose Island Bourbon County Stout
The gift of great beer is always welcomed for the beer lover, and what better pick than annual limited-edition exclusives? Each year, Goose Island partners with several different Kentucky distilleries for their barrel-aged beer stout series. This year, the series included collaborations with Angel’s Envy and Eagle Rare.
