UNIQLO has surely become one of the more ubiquitous brands through the 21st century’s second decade. While founded nearly eight decades ago, the Japanese clothing retailer opened their first U.S. store back in 2005 and has been expanding rapidly ever since. Needless to say, UNIQLO has only grown bigger and bigger, with their latest joint effort with renowned German designer Jil Sander adding to the pair’s beloved (and always fast-selling) ongoing +J collection.
For this collaborative fall/winter capsule, the brand is looking to turn some heads, making use of some ideally comfortable textiles for the sake of the cooler seasons. In the case of their outerwear set, it is made up of an array of coats that accumulate to one less than a dozen, with highlights including the Wool Oversized Duffle Coat, Down Oversized Parka, and Hybrid Down Oversized MA-1 Blouson. Moving on to the bundle of pants offerings, what takes the eye from this handful of garments are the Selvedge Slim-Fit Straight Jeans, as Uniqlo’s partnership with Kaihara Selvedge consistently manages to make for an incredibly fair-priced set of denim. Add in other pieces like a lambswool cardigan, Supima cotton shirts, and a turtleneck sweater and full-zip hoodie in cashmere, and you’ve got a capsule that is set to keep you warm through the winter.
With all of these pieces and more available in the collection, it is clear that these two renowned global designers are looking to provide wearers with some of the most stylishly affordable winterwear imaginable. Available for purchase starting November 11, the entirety of Uniqlo’s +J collection can be found on the brand’s website.
