Sony’s Alpha line has delivered several impressive cameras, but its latest addition is offering a brand new feature sure to appease shutterbugs. The world-famous gadgeteer’s Alpha 7RV boasts a high-tech AI-processing unit for unrivaled auto-focusing capabilities.

This new unit is the BIONZ XR engine, which Sony claims is a breakthrough in subject recognition in all forms of footage, be it still or video photography. Moreover, it operates alongside a whopping 61MP sensor for remarkable footage and real-time recognition autofocus to fully capture the subject. As far as capturing videos is concerned, the 7RV offers 4K and 8K recording modes that ensure nothing short of crystal-clear footage. The camera’s image stabilization system has also garnered a notable upgrade, equipped with improved sensors and newly-instituted algorithms for optimized results. It also features lossless RAW support, allowing you to reduce the size of your image without sacrificing the mesmerizing quality.

In addition to this game-changing processor, the new model boasts a sprawling sensitivity range of ISO 100 to ISO 32000 and up to 15 stops of dynamic range. Other worthwhile improvements across the board include shooting up to 10fps using the new tracking tech and whisper-quiet recording as high as 7fps. Lastly, it’s highlighted by a 4-axis LCD monitor that can be adjusted horizontally and vertically, promoting idealized shooting freedom.

Sony’s Alpha a7R V Mirrorless Digital Camera is available now for $3,898.
