Adept at making all sorts of refined audio products, the one piece of equipment we’re yet to see from Sonus faber was a premium outdoor speaker. Upon revealing the Aster, the McIntosh Group subsidiary finally brings remarkable sound prowess to your backyard.

The upcoming speaker retains the Italian manufacturer’s sleek design language, albeit instituting an entirely new rugged appeal compared to the rest of its products. And while the Aster’s razor-thin composition wouldn’t suggest such remarkable sound at first glance, a pair of passive radiators pave the way for a distortion-free listening experience. It also boasts a sprawling frequency range and 100 watts of power.

In addition to blending in with virtually any outdoor environment, the brand assures a user-friendly set-up process thanks to its aluminum-made mounting system, allowing you to screw it into place in no time. Best of all, the Astra is just as easy to adjust, as the bracket features a spring mechanism that lets you tilt it 15 degrees at a time, so you don’t need to pull the toolbox out again. Lastly, the outdoor speaker is built to withstand all sorts of unpredictable conditions, boasting an IP65-certified rating to protect it from rainfall or pesky dust.
