Samsung Expands Its Popular Frame Lineup with the Music Frame Speaker

Samsung dropped The Frame TV back in 2017, and the unique blend of art and entertainment has cemented it as one of the most notable tech releases in the last decade. Now that CES is in full swing, Samsung is seeking to expand the Frame lineup with the Musc Frame, a speaker that doubles as decor and built to display your favorite art and vinyl.

Much like The Frame TV, the Music Frame has a covert design meant to blend with your home and hide the tech. This time around, however, there’s no screen, but a modular front area that you can use to display different artwork or vinyl records. Behind the front, you get six drivers with built-in woofers, and it’s compatible with the Q-Symphony ecosystem, meaning you can pair it with other Samsung TVs and soundbars, allowing you to expand your home theater setup on top of using it as a standalone speaker (which you can also double up on, using a pair for surround sound).

Many have been comparing this to Ikea’s SYMFONISK music frame, which shares a lot of similarities with Samsung’s, and the lack of a screen is leaving some confused. It’s especially surprising since The Frame has been one of the hottest tech releases since it was released, and Samsung was definitely ahead of the game with the tech and design of the TV. Pricing will likely play a huge role in how well the Music Frame is received (which hasn’t been announced yet), but its compatibility with other Samsung gear and ability to display vinyl is definitely cool.

The Samsung Music Frame has yet to receive a price and a release date, but that should change after CES wraps up, and you can keep an eye out for more details on Samsung’s site.
