Although Razer is primarily known for premium gaming mice, with the Razer Viper 8k that came out in early 2021 being among the first mice to have an 8KHz polling rate (making it one of the fastest in the market), they’ve quickly expanded its product lineup and become one of the tech companies to watch in the gaming world and the tech landscape in general. Yes, most of the label’s products, like the laptops and mice, are gamer-focused still, but since the Razer Phone came out in 2017, they’ve started expanding the brand’s horizons while still keeping them in mind. And now Razer is back with an updated version of the Hammerhead earbuds with the Razer Hammerhead Pro HyperSpeed earbuds, a pair of cross-platform wireless headphones with THX Certified audio, and RGB lighting.

These earbuds have incredibly low latency, thanks to the Razer Hyperspeed tech used in its other wireless gadgets, and seamlessly pair with your PC, Smartphone, and consoles like the Switch or the PlayStation. This latency can be decreased even more with the added dongle (a requirement for the PlayStation and other consoles without third-party Bluetooth headphone support), making for a true audio experience. This experience is made even more immersive with the adjustable noise-canceling functionality, which can be adjusted through the Razer Audio app.

Since many factors play into the battery life of these earbuds, like the RGB lighting and the Bluetooth, it’s difficult to give a single estimate, but it’s hovering around 3.5 – 6.5 hours of battery life on a single charge (depending on how you’re using them). The charging case holds up to an extra 24 hours of battery life on a single charge, so in total, you’re looking at about 14 hours with heavy use and 30 hours with light use.

The Razer Hammerhead Pro HyperSpeed Earbuds are available now for $199.
