Master & Dynamic’s MH40 over-ears are undoubtedly some of the audio world’s best, managing to fuse hi-fi audio with a pristine look. Now, the New York-based brand looks to upgrade them entirely with the second-generation model.

While the fashionable headphones retain the same high-end design, it’s what’s on the inside that counts. The MH40 V2 boasts a set of newly-designed custom titanium drivers, paving the way for a crystal clear, fully-balanced listening experience from start to finish. Best of all, its battery life sees a whopping upgrade from a mere 18 hours to a maximum of 30 hours, allowing users to achieve over 6 hours of listening time in less than half an hour of charging.

Connectivity-wise, they’re better than ever, allowing you to listen to your favorite tunes and podcasts from as much as 100’ away, thanks to the latest Bluetooth 5.2 tech. Additionally, it supports a trio of codecs, including the traditional AAC and SBC, in addition to aptX Adaptive support. Last but certainly not least, users can fully customize how they listen to thanks to M&D’s neighboring app full of pre-set EQs.

As expected, the newly-upgraded muffs will see a noticeable price jump compared to the now-dated model. Moreover, the MH40 V2 is listed at $400 on Master & Dynamic’s webshop, $100 more than the original pair.
