LG UltraGear Unveils a High-End, 45-Inch Curved OLED Gaming Monitor

Samsung just unveiled its premium iteration of the curved Odyssey Ark gaming monitor two weeks ago, and LG is now looking to get its name in the papers, too. The South Korean tech giant’s UltraGear branch has shown off its take on high-octane gaming with a 45-inch curved OLED monitor that is ready to compete with Samsung head-on.

LG touts its latest reveal as “a genuine gaming powerhouse,” and we have a hard time arguing against that. In addition to its massive size, the borderless display’s tech specs are something to behold. These include a rapid-fire 0.1ms response time and a 240Hz refresh rate to ensure nothing short of top-level performance. On top of this, it offers Picture-by-Picture and Picture-in-Picture modes, so you can seamlessly multitask.

As far as visuals are concerned, it offers gorgeous OLED quality, a 21:9 aspect ratio, and LG’s proprietary anti-glare & Low Reflection coating, resulting in a lack of distractions and full-on immersion. In addition to the high-end piece of gaming equipment, LG showed off the UltraFine Display Ergo AI. This 31.5-inch 4K monitor aims to provide ergonomic comfort, thanks to its height and tilt adjustability. If you thought gamers were excited about their monitor, wait until you hear what remote workers say about this.

The manufacturer is yet to reveal any release or pricing information regarding either display, but it will be shown at LG’s exhibition booth at IFA 2022 from September 2-6 in Berlin.
