LG’s CineBeam lineup is already home to some of the most sleek, home-friendly projectors you can get, but the tech giant is constantly innovating, and has just teased a retro projector ahead of the upcoming CES event they’re touting as “one of the smallest projectors available.” In comes the LG CineBeam Qube 4K, a lightweight projector with modern tech and old-school style.

Yes, this compact little projector is unique and falls in line with the mid-century modern craze we’re still in the middle of (complete with a 360-degree rotatable handle), but it’s pretty impressive technically, too. Weighing just over 3 pounds and measuring 80mm wide/135mm tall, the projector provides 4K UHD images measuring up to 120 inches, and a brightness score of 500 ANSI Lumens. Using an RGB laser, it has a 450,000:1 contrast ratio with 154 percent coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut for better color accuracy. It’s also equipped with an adjustment feature, Auto Screen Adjustment, which automatically optimizes image placement and size, so you don’t have to fiddle with anything. The image-mapping function also adds some variety, capable of projecting images like nature scenes to set the mood.

Other than the base specs, LG hasn’t released any details regarding third-party connections (with services like AirPlay, for example) or compatibility with other LG tech, but that should change after it’s officially revealed during this year’s CES. We know it’s running LG webOS 6.0, so you’ll be able to access the usual streaming suspects like Netflix and Disney+, and it’s wirelessly compatible with iOS and Android.

There’s no official release date or price for the LG CineBeam Qube 4K, but it’ll be showcased in LG’s booth at CES this year (which goes from January 9th – 12th), and it’s expected to be released later this year (more details should come out after the event).
