Between expanding the QuietComfort lineup and collaborating with musicians and athletes, Bose has had a major last few years and continues to dominate the audio world. Now, they’ve teamed up with NYC-based fashion label Kith on the Bose Ultra Open Earbuds, a collaborative pair of clip-on earbuds – and Kith didn’t just slap a logo on an existing pair of Bose headphones, but entered a real-deal partnership with the brand to make something unique.

Battery life provides 7.5 hours of playtime on a single charge (an extra 19.5 hours with the USB-C charging case) and around 4.5 hours with Bose Immersive Audio enabled. Combined with the OpenAudio tech borrowed from Bose’s Sport Earbuds, you get an immersive spatial audio experience without covering/plugging your ears. Instead, they clip onto the sides of your ears, and each bud has built-in button controls for adjustments. They’re equipped with IPX4 water resistance and finished with some fun cobranding on the case and buds with “Kith” stylized in the Bose logo font.

These earbuds are a Kith exclusive and will be released at 8 am PST, which is important to note because they’re only available for a limited time, and Kith collabs tend to sell out quickly. While this isn’t the first audio equipment collab for Kith, this marks the first fashion partnership for Bose; Chief Marketing Officer Jim Molleca states, “With this product launch, we’re bringing together two passionate communities that inspire one another – music lovers and fashion trendsetters – to show them they don’t have to sacrifice exceptional sound for fashion.”

The Kith for Bose Ultra Open Earbuds arrive on January 22nd for $300, and come in the black colorway featured here. Although these are a limited-edition release at the moment, there’s a good chance Bose drops something very similar down the line.
