While the Mu7 is the KEF’s first dip into this new-age tech, the brand has been in the game for years, and this new release is well-equipped, just like the rest of its catalog. The new pair boasts 40mm full-range dynamic drivers that tune sound based on your environment and deliver every nuance of your music, showing how big of a difference the slight sounds that get washed away with normal headphones make.
Connectivity why is there compatible with Bluetooth 5.1 and features Qualcomm’s 24-bit AptX HD codec, the latter of which paves the way for high-resolution wireless playback, which makes it a fantastic choice for audiophiles. As far as looks go, the headphones are brought to life by award-winning designer Ross Lovegrove. The multi-disciplinary Welsh artist has worked with KEF before, as he designed a limited edition speaker system for the manufacturer roughly 15 years ago. Moreover, the Mu7 is highlighted by a premium composition of elements like sleek aluminum, then rounded out with a lightweight headband and plush memory foam earcups.
