There have been several innovations put forth in the audio department at CES this week, and while JBL’s powerful new soundbar doesn’t fall in line with futuristic EVs and humungous TVs, it still has all the bells, whistles, and more you’d expect to come from a premium addition to your home theater.

The brand’s 1300X is its latest flagship device, boasting premium elements that conjure up a nearly unrivaled viewing and listening experience. These include a total of six upfiring drivers, a whopping 12” subwoofer, a massive 1170W power output, and Dolby Atmos readiness. In addition to utilizing Dolby’s latest tech, the top-tier soundbar features DTS:X 3D surround sound, practically throwing you into the heart of whatever you’re watching. Above all else, you can configure each piece to your liking, as the battery-powered surround speakers and subwoofer are fully detachable, allowing you to spread them around your home for seamless multi-room listening.

As expected, the JBL Bar range’s ringleader offers user-friendly voice assistance via Alexa, Google Assistant, or Siri, as well as accessible Wi-Fi streaming through AirPlay 2 and Chromecast built-in. In addition to the 1300X, JBL unveiled a suite of highly-capable soundbars suitable for virtually any budget. These include the 300, 500, 700, and 1000, each offering Dolby Atmos compatibility, MultiBeam tech, and HARMAN PureVoice. These three work side-by-side to deliver an immersive soundstage with crystal-clear dialogue and remarkable clarity.
Although JBL’s revamped Bar series starts from $400, the 1300X will retail for $1,700. All models will be available on the audio brand’s webshop beginning February 19.
