In our business, we see our fair share of phone cases, and many, if not most, of them are underwhelming to say the least — throw-ins when you buy your newest model perhaps, but almost never outstanding. But then there’s DANGO, who always makes sure to approach each and every one of its products with thoughtful design that favors both visual appeal and utility. Its Covert Case is the perfect example, which is now available for iPhone models 15 Pro, 15 Pro Max, 16 Pro, and 16 Pro Max.

For DANGO, there’s no such thing as a one-trick pony. The EDC brand makes a strong effort to ensure that each and every one of its products are unique and can serve more than one purpose. Here, the tethering points allow you to strap on a lanyard for wearing your phone around your neck, attaching it to your bag, or looping in a key or two. However, the asymmetrical design gives it a more practical fit in your hands when using it and it’s always comfortable to hold. Constructed of unibody machined aluminum, the case snaps to fit onto your phone and is unbelievably lightweight, only adding about an ounce to your phone. Likewise, the TPU bumpers in the corner add to its durability.

Designed in a way to look like it may have come off of Apple’s assembly line with the phone, the Covert Case sports an expectedly sleek aesthetic but doesn’t try to do too much. It offers a perfect cutout for the camera area with the intent to emphasize the lenses and still protect them, with ventilation and cooling in mind as well. Meanwhile, the MagSafe section is kept open to allow the heat to escape, which is a unique touch that only the likes of Dango would have thought of. It is also a perfect fit for Dango’s Magsafe Wallet which is sold separately.

Available in both jet black and satin silver colorways, the Covert Case for iPhone is priced at either $49 or $59. Head over to Dango’s website to get one for yourself.
