Video games (and thus, the technology used to make them) are advancing at break-neck speeds, with big studios pumping out behemoth AAA games featuring stunning graphics and indie developers showcasing their art. We may have a bunch of gear and consoles to choose from now, but video games got started on PCs as computer games (and many are still PC purists). CORSAIR is a staple in the PC world, and while the company cut its teeth on PC parts, its lineup has been expanded to include an array of high-grade PC equipment, with its gaming gear being especially popular. Expanding its selection even more, CORSAIR has just announced the Platform:6, the label’s first-ever standing desk, which comes equipped with a host of customization options and gamer-friendly features.
Although, at first glance, this desk may seem a bit intimidating for those without large, high-end PC builds (offering six feet of surface area and large removable pegboards for your equipment), its modular design allows you to customize the desk to fit your needs. So, if you’re a streamer, a creative, or working from home often, you still benefit from the features, like the rail system that lets you attach mics, monitors, and other gear to help your workflow (or gameplay). The desk also comes with a storage cubby underneath, equipped with USB-C and USB-A ports and extensions that can make the desk even wider.
Like most standing desks, the Platform:6 has a controller to adjust and remember your height settings, and CORSAIR is offering a Creator Edition at launch, which comes with Elgato’s Multi Frame expansion kit.
The CORSAIR Platform:6 will hit the website and authorized retailers during Q4 of this year. No official price has been announced just yet, but we do know that it comes with a five-year warranty.
