The New Beats Powerbeats Fit Took Four Years to Design and They’re Worth the Wait

When it comes to workout earbuds, the Beats Fit Pro are about as good as you can get. With cool little wings that allow these to stay put in your ear when bouncing on a treadmill or literally any exercise that requires you to move, the in-ear monitors also happen to sound pretty darn good.

Now, the Apple-owned Beats has updated its Fit Pro with the new Powerbeats Fit, with a few key improvements, and without raising the price.

Hot Wing(tips)

The headline here is the redesigned wingtip, which Beats claims is 20% more flexible than its predecessor. Four years in the making, this isn’t a complete overhaul but still a solid evolution. The universal fit design means it’s adjustable, so you’re not fiddling with multiple wingtip sizes. Likewise, the added flexibility should make these comfortable enough for all-day wear. Beats has also thrown in four ear tip sizes now (adding an extra-small option), which is the right move.

But How Does It Sound?

Under the hood, the Powerbeats Fit still runs on Apple’s H1 chip — not the newer H2 you’ll find in the AirPods Pro 3 or Powerbeats Pro 2. While that might seem like a compromise, the H1 still delivers one-touch pairing, hands-free Siri, Find My integration, and automatic device switching. It’s more than capable for what most people need.

Active noise cancellation and transparency mode both make a return, along with personalized spatial audio and adaptive EQ. The custom acoustic platform with its axial-aligned drivers promises balanced sound across the frequency curve, which is Beats’ way of saying these should handle everything from bass-heavy hip-hop to podcast dialogue without breaking a sweat.

Battery life holds steady at seven hours per charge (six with ANC on), stretching to 30 hours total with the case. Fast Fuel charging remains a standout feature — five minutes gets you an hour of playback when you’re in a rush.

In Case You Missed It

The IPX4 rating covers both the earbuds and the charging case now, which is awesome. And speaking of the case, it’s 17% smaller than the Fit Pro’s, making it easier to pocket without sacrificing any battery performance.

As for the physical buttons, they’re a bit more old-school than touch controls, but also more reliable during workouts, especially if you’re wearing gloves or your fingers are sweaty.
