Few audio brands hold a candle to Bang & Olufsen when it comes down to sound, looks, and, more often than not, price. Nevertheless, anything the Danish manufacturer churns out is typically well beyond noteworthy, and its newly-announced Atelier Editions program is what we’ve come to expect from such a consistent band of designers.

The first item in this new lineup is a pair of B&O’s flagship Beoplay EX earbuds. The esteemed manufacturer claims the “Beyplay EX Atelier Editions is the meeting point of form, function, and fashion,” going on to say that it anodizes the aluminum that constructs the buds so they look as great as they sound. As of now, the Lime Green palette is the only pair revealed.

And while this is strictly a cosmetic-centric makeover, the IP57-rated Beoplay EX was already one of the best earbuds on the market from a sonic standpoint, and that’s not even accounting for its array of custom listening controls. That said, there wasn’t much room for improvement, as the Grinchish buds retain their 9.2mm neodymium drivers, fully adjustable EQ, premium noise-canceling, and up to 6 hours of battery life when utilizing the latter.

As we mentioned, the lime-green-colored Beoplay EX Atelier Edition will be available for $700, compared to $400 for a standard pair. Reserve your own by February 24 on Bang & Olufsen’s webshop.
