Union and Nike Link Up and Travel the World with the Passport Pack Dunks

Union is a legendary clothing shop that has stuck to its roots every step of its journey. With a unique blend of form and function at the core of its catalog, the retailer has also collaborated with a handful of noteworthy designers, with a nearly innumerable amount of Nike joint efforts to show for it. Tackling yet another one, the two brands look to take things around the globe this time around, paying homage to a trio of once-exclusive sneakers with the Passport Pack.

Chris Gibbs opened the first Union flagship in New York back in 1989, which was followed by another opening in Los Angeles a couple of years later. Throughout the decade, the founder and his peers brought some of Japan’s most coveted and exclusive kicks to light, and have since embellished the world of streetwear across the globe. In a grand attempt at shining a light on their tri-regional beginnings, the Passport Pack features three reimagined pairs of Nike Dunk Lows, each of which is meant as a tribute to New York, Los Angeles, and Tokyo, respectively.

As one of the most sought-out pairs to release in 2022 thus far, the first in the collection garners its inspiration from the Pistachio Dunk Highs. They sit on a navy blue outsole and boast a subtle green and grey grid-patterned upper. As a bonus, these uppers are composed of a tear-away fabric that will ultimately reveal a smooth, leather material.

The first set of kicks set to release from Union and Nike’s uniquely designed Passport Pack is exclusively available to Los Angeles County residents via raffle. Moving forward, however, the remainder of these colorways are set to release online, and they’re sure to be just as worthy of checking out.
