Now, The North Face is reimagining some classic styles in the Ripstop Icons collection, featuring redesigned apparel with ripstop nylon.
Kicking us off, we have an updated take on maybe the most iconic piece from The North Face with the ‘92 Ripstop Nuptse Jacket, which features the same reliable down filling and silhouette, now made with waxed ripstop nylon (along with an added adjustable drawcord on the hood). The Denali jacket is another classic receiving the ripstop treatment, also getting hit with waxed ripstop nylon overlays, and built with a sustainable material blend. Closing out the jackets, the Ripstop Mountain Cargo Jacket combines TNF’s retro mountain jacket styling with modern durability, boasting a DWR finish and a hood with a cord lock and ladder lock adjustments.
On top of the new jackets offered in this collection, TNF is also hitting its iconic Denali pants with waxed ripstop overlays for added protection and more retro style. This time around, the fleece pants have a more streetwear-esque look, especially helped by the nylon overlays on the knees. The nylon used in each of these pieces is 100% recycled, along with the fleece and lining.
