French label SATISFY has hit the ground running since 2015, amassing an impressive cult following as it celebrates a decade of challenging performance norms through its off-kilter approach to nearly everything, whether high-end training gear or in-your-face campaigns. Still, after a decade of dishing out impressive technical attire, the brand is yet to drop an in-house shoe. That all changes with the release of TheROCKER, its first stand-alone running shoe built for off-road adventures.

The Vision Behind TheROCKER

While this is SATISFY’S first in-house shoe design, that doesn’t mean the label is unfamiliar with the space; quite the opposite, in fact. It consistently collaborates with contemporaries like Salomon and HOKA on countless trail-friendly shoes, and even Crocs when they joined forces on the Mellow Slide in 2023. All in all, SATISFY’s fusion of minimalist design with cutting-edge technology is on full display with TheROCKER, and it’s clear that these collaborations have inspired the team to make something great.

Built for the Trails and the City

Starting from the top, the upper is constructed of Rippy 66 Monomesh, an abrasion-resistant material derived from Nova Nylon 66, making it breathable but not necessarily water-resistant outside of its moisture-wicking properties. theROCKER’s asymmetrical lacing system allows for a more customizable fit, crucial for long trail runs, contributing to the silhouette’s sleek look that wouldn’t look out of place in the city.

Unmatched Durability and Comfort

Moving onto the shoe’s lower half, its midsole is made using Euforia Super Foam, a proprietary PEBA-EVA blend made to maximize energy return without sacrificing comfort. One of its standout elements appears beneath the surface on the Vibram Megargrip Litebase outsole, which features an RC car-inspired TuneLug pattern co-engineered alongside Vibram. SATISFY even went the extra mile to wrap the outsole on the side of the shoes to achieve the same effect as a tire, giving you that multi-surface traction.
