Reebok and Harpoon Brewery Team Up for a Running Shoe and Beer Box

Beer and running shoes don’t often get mentioned in the same sentence, but compared to some of the stranger collabs we’ve seen lately, this one is honestly a welcomed sight. Reebok has partnered with Boston’s Harpoon Brewery for a two-way release that encompasses products from both brands.

Reebok hasn’t tampered with the recipe of Harpoon’s beloved Rec. League beer, but they’ve instituted a new packaging that looks like a shoebox. Rec. League is a light craft beer that’s unbelievably refreshing, utilizing tropical hops and ingredients such as buckwheat kasha, chia seeds, and sea salt. Harpoon has also ensured that the eye-catching can art has remained virtually the same as well, with its orange, yellow, and turquoise blend intact.

However, this new partnership comes with a brand new product as well, released in tandem with Reebok’s new Floatride Energy 4 Adventure Running Shoes — an update on the ever-popular Floatride Energy 3. The new sneakers will come in a limited-edition variant that sports the Harpoon Rec. League colors and graphics on the insole as well as on the outsole and the top of the laces. While the shoes will be unveiled in August, ten pairs will be given away to lucky sweepstakes winners if they enter on Harpoon’s website.

A portion of the proceeds of the Reebok Edition of Harpoon’s Rec. League beer will go toward BOKS, an organization that promotes physical activity and fitness in children. Reebok and Harpoon’s new Rec. League beer will be sold starting this July in both 4-packs of 16oz cans and 12-packs of 12oz cans for $9 and $15, respectively. You’ll also be able to find it on tap at the brewery’s Boston and Vermont tap rooms.
