Blending urban style with performance gear has been Nike’s modus operandi for decades now — in fact, they basically invented the approach. In 1978, the brand debuted its now-iconic Windrunner, their first true piece of outerwear for runners. It was lightweight, breathable, and yet incredibly stylish, immediately becoming a favorite among athletes across the board. Of course, Nike has continued to evolve the Windrunner over the years while still keeping true to its roots. Employing Dri-FIT tech and some color blocking, the latest Tech Windrunner iterations prove that classics truly never get old.

Available in three colorways — Anthracite/Ochre, Cave Stone/Cool Grey, and Light Bone/Black — the color-block Tech Windrunner still gives you as much protection as ever when heading into wind and even light rain, all without losing any mobility along the way. The secret is in Nike’s Dri-FIT tech, a crinkly nylon-based fabric that moves sweat away from your skin so that the moisture can evaporate quicker. And with a healthy dose of Spandex (6%), the material also stretches for superior mobility.

Further articulation at the elbows increases your range of motion, but Nike has also used the function to bring form to the jacket’s distinct look. Protecting you from the elements even more, the three-panel hood is adjustable and provides you with full coverage thanks to bungees with cord locks, making this a solid choice on days where there’s a slight chance of rain. The hem is also sealed with cord locks as well, keeping out wind and moisture on your run.

In terms of pockets, you’ll get two at the waist for smaller essentials like your phone and keys. These are zipper-sealed and tape-reinforced for weather resistance. The jacket also comes with a two-way zipper down the front, a locker loop, and reflective stitching on the sleeves to help you stay visible at night.
