You could theoretically use most athletic shoes for working out but with today’s footwear lineup, you don’t really need to. Nike has arguably the best range of workout shoes, from the Romaleos designed for weightlifting to the Metcon popular in the HIIT world. Now, the athletic giant’s range gets even wider as it taps future hall-of-famer LeBron James for a new kind of workout shoe favoring versatility and all-day wear.

Recently passing Michael Jordan for the most career 30-point games, James has been going strong with Nike ever since signing his signature shoe contract back in his 2003 rookie season — a series that is currently on its 22nd iteration this year. But the NBA star has also branched out with some other purpose-built models like his first-ever training shoes, which you see here. Currently available in five different colorways, the LeBron TR1 is perfect whether you’re hitting the hardwood, engaging in CrossFit, or doing anything in between. According to Nike, the shoe was made to “appeal to athletes across multiple disciplines.”

Lightweight and durable, the sneakers are constructed for all-day wear but can give you some solid support in the gym with their large rubber outsole lugs and waffle herringbone pattern for traction. These are supplemented by flex grooves on the heel and forefoot for improved mobility and ergonomics. Comfort and stability are provided by the foam wrap, which also adds a glove-like bootie designed to expand as your foot swells during intense activity. Meanwhile, the cable laces ensure that you always have the right fit. From a design perspective, the shoes favor a street style but still fit well in a gym setting.
