Blending outdoor-ready utility with superb visual designs, Nike’s ACG sub-label has been a cult favorite ever since its 1989 debut and has birthed some of the most attractive silhouettes from the minds of icons like Tinker Hatfield, Toren Orzeck. and Peter Fogg. What started as a successor to the Nike Hiking line, ACG (which stands for “All Conditions Gear”) evolved from outdoor footwear to jackets, pants, socks, and even outdoor accessories, showcasing masterful style along the way. Its latest range includes one of our current favorites, the Watercat+ water shoe, which is perfect for even the wettest wilderness adventures. Let’s dive in…

Sporting a minimalist upper crafted from moisture-wicking, breathable cords that are loosely knitted, the lightweight Watercat+ was born from Nike’s long history of woven shoes. This latest version of the model retains the easy-toggle lacing system but also improves the overall structure and fit of the shoe so you’ll be comfortable all day. To streamline the look of the shoe even further, the pull tabs in back are crafted from the same cord as the shoe’s body.

Available in three attractive colorways with ACG branding at the heel of the wavy soles, the Watercat+ sports a drop-in midsole with a sandal-like feel that can help keep your foot in place while the laces can be loosened and tightened for the ultimate fit. Designed for everything from river exploration to muddy trails, these water shoes can be worn with or without socks and are just as comfortable either way. As for underfoot grip, the rubber outsole provides sticky traction for even the slickest of surfaces — think wet sidewalks or large river rocks.
