Over the course of its more than 120-year-long history, Harley-Davidson’s various racing programs have experienced an enormous amount of success. For several decades, the MoCo’s unparalleled success was no doubt owed to its XR750 — a flat track racing bike that’s widely considered to be the winningest motorcycle in history, having racked up 29 out of 37 AMA Grand National Championships between ’72 and ’08. To celebrate the XR’s illustrious competition history, Harley-Davidson has now debuted a limited edition, race-themed garment known as the At the Crank Bomber Jacket.
Sporting a classic bomber silhouette, this race-themed jacket is cut from a rugged nylon twill that’s been stuffed with a poly fill in order to bolster warmth without adding a significant amount of bulk or weight. The interior of the jacket has also been trimmed in a unique all-over printed Harley-Davidson logo lining. Helping to trap-in warmth is a rib-knit collar, cuffs, and hem, as well. A set of standard hand-warmer pockets have also been supplemented via a utility pocket on the jacket’s left shoulder. What’s more, in addition to being offered in sizes Small though 5XL, the At the Crank Bomber is also being produced in both Harley Black and Lapis Blue color options.
Fitted with a centered zipper closure, the exterior of the At the Crank Bomber Jacket sees its retro-inspired cut supplemented via a series of throwback patches borrowed from Harley’s extensive historical race archives. This includes a retro Harley-Davidson logo adorning the back of the jacket, along with a ‘70s era Harley-Davidson Flat Track Racing Department patch on its right sleeve. The front of the bomber has been adorned in a classic Bar & Shield logo patch, a H-D Race Department logo patch, an XR750 patch, and a replica patch based on the #1 front number board that the XR750 wore throughout much of the Milwaukee marque’s golden era of competition.
The Harley-Davidson At the Crank Bomber Jacket is available now, with pricing set at $175.
