With the unveiling of its new Chuck Taylor All-Star CX FlyEase, the century-old shoemaker is still finding ways to bring something new to the table.
Looking to up the ante on what was initially a pair of basketball shoes, the Nike subsidiary’s iconic casual kicks are falling in line with its parent company’s portfolio by incorporating some exciting new tech. The athleisure giant’s trademark FlyEase system serves as one of its countless design innovations, blending sportiness and style in a unique mechanism that allows the wearer to put the shoes on lightning-fast and hassle-free.
The new All Stars feature a FlyEase cage at the heel for hands-free, slip-on-adjacent wear, meaning you’ll really only ever have to lace these guys up once. This addition is neighbored by a flexible canvas collar, a padded tongue, and a modified heel tab to provide enhanced accessibility. For added security, the shoes also feature a CX-foam packed insole, adjusted sock liner, and padded tongue. The revamped kicks are going to release in a pair of colorways: white and black, both of which are accented by hints of eye-popping orange that give off an appropriately future-forward vibe.
If you’ve grown weary of the same old Chucks that have been sitting in your closet, then take advantage of Converse’s latest attempt at revitalizing the staple sneaker. Although the Chuck Taylor All-Star CX FlyEase is slated to release on February 24th in global markets, they won’t be debuting stateside until March 17th.
