As one of our favorite boutique clothing brands, Buck Mason could have stuck to its roots until the end of time without hearing the slightest complaint from us… but we’re also not going to complain when the brand breaks new ground. Today, the L.A.-based label has expanded its catalog to the world of performance wear with the rollout of its new Trail Collection, giving us all the more reason to appreciate it.
The new capsule consists of five new proprietary textiles: stretchy Parachute Ripstop, antimicrobial and moisture-wicking Roam Cotton, water-resistant Roam Nylon, moisture-wicking Yuma Hemp, and anti-microbial Traverse Cotton. Each of these new fabrics works together to compose an entirely new branch of attire for Buck Mason, with garments tailored toward hiking and working out… or simply going about your day casually, if that’s what you’re into. As far as particular pieces are concerned, there is a Parachute Ripstop-styled anorak, utility pant, and utility short, with the last two coming equipped with an adjustable waist belt.
The Roam Cotton garments include a pair of drawstring waist pants that are made of a blend of cotton and nylon that’s been garment-washed for a vintage feel before being touched up with a DWR finish. Next is the Roam Nylon, which makes up the elastic waist short, garnering inspiration from Marine Corps garments of old. The uber-breathable Yuma Hemp shows up in the form of a new version of the clothier’s classic Straight Hem T-Shirt, and the Traverse Cotton rounds out the collection with a pair of baseball caps and a moisture-wicking version of the brand’s signature Curved Hem Tee.
This sporty collection of gear is sure to keep fans of the label on their toes, as this new collection goes to show that Buck Mason’s apparel is just as purpose-built as it is stylish. The Trail Collection is now available on Buck Mason’s website, starting from $48.
