We’re all familiar with the absolute range that’s made Nike a legend in the footwear space. While they originally began as a running shoe brand, we’ve admired how many other categories they’ve dominated throughout the years. Below are among our favorite sneakers currently in Nike’s lineup, featuring shoes for the outdoors, the sidewalk, the court, and more.
Article Overview
Nike ACG Lowcate

Since its debut in 1989, Nike’s ACG sub-label has become a cult favorite for blending outdoor-ready utility with a style-forward mentality. Featuring the same town-to-trail ethos, the line’s Lowcate sneaker is constructed with a mixed material upper atop both a midfoot webbing and a grippy rubber outsole with a Trail frame underfoot design. Furthermore, the tongue pull tabs double as clip-in points for attaching to your bag when hiking, lending it even more versatility.
Nike C1TY ‘Safety Cone’

If you’re looking for a pair of sneakers to accompany your everyday activities, check out the C1TY ‘Safety Cone’ from Nike. Imbued with a streetwear sensibility, these shoes are not only highly comfortable with a breathable mesh upper and midsole foam underneath but deceptively stylish. Under the white and platinum colors up top, the soles are punctuated with orange inspired by traffic cones you see daily. To help you brave the urban landscape even further, the sneakers are built for durability with side reinforcements on the uppers and a toe box in front to help protect your feet.
Nike Air Pegasus ’89 Golf Shoes

For the most recent Open Championship, Nike made a golf version of the iconic Air Pegasus ‘89 sneakers with some subtle design cues inspired by the birthplace of the sport: Scotland. This can be found in the tartan plaid collar and the windy Swoosh logo on top. Other design elements include the cork on the sides and the green and khaki colors of the waxed canvas and full-grain leather on the uppers too. Of course, the midsole features an Air unit for heel support while the outsole has been designed specifically for golfing in any condition.
Nike Clogposite

Highly coveted upon their arrival in the late ‘90s, Foamposites still manage to look futuristic yet practical on the court. In the ‘00s, Nike made a pair of recovery slides based on the Foamposites (as well as the similar Flightposites). Dubbed the Clogposite, these have recently been revived for a new era, including breathable textiles to bolster the molded upper and midsole. Underneath, the outsole comes with a tinted hue to match up top. These truly embody what we love about both the ‘90s and ‘00s models, sporting a forward-thinking style and an eye-catching design.
Nike Air DT Max ’96

Nike is known to revisit their vault now and again (and again). Such was the case with its iconic Air DT Max, an iconic basketball shoe from 1996 which now gets revived for a new era. The Air DT Max ‘96 features the original responsive cushioning underfoot with the Max Air unit visible in the heel. You also get the same adjustable strap at the midsole to lock in your foot with a hook-and-loop closure. Available in two colorways at the moment — black/gold and white/black — the high-tops bring back a welcomed aesthetic that evokes hoops memories of the mid-’90s.
