It’s that time again when we celebrate the biggest athletic wear brand in the world. And each month, we can’t help but be in awe of how much newness Nike has to offer — many of which makes our jaws drop. For June, we have a dapper Dunk, a new trail sneaker, and, of course, the much talked about AJ5 “Grape.” These are our favorite sneakers from Nike this month.

Nike Gato LV8

If you want to bring your love for football to the streets, just look to the Gato LV8, which has lately been “elevated” for everyday wear, but don’t think people won’t notice. Nike’s been playing a lot with metallics lately — even more than usual. And the latest to get the treatment is this popular take on the indoor soccer shoe. Paired with tan fabric underneath, the gold overlays on this new variant truly pop thanks to the sneaker’s mixed textile uppers, evolving it into an instant urban classic. Underfoot, you also have a retro-style brown gum outsole.

Nike Dunk Low Retro

Around the turn of the century, Nike threw its hat in the ring, attempting to finally crack the competitive skateboarding market. We eventually got the SB Dunks, which have since become a mega-hit and released in every colorway imaginable. Nevertheless, this recent variant is arguably the most dapper the sneakers have ever been, blending shades of leathery brown with black underneath. We’re not saying you should wear these to the next wedding you’re invited to, but we’re also not saying you shouldn’t.

Nike Free Forward Moc N7

Back in 2014, Nike turned its Free Run into a moc that still looked like a shoe. Now, the Free Forward Moc N7 is getting resurrected from the archives. Nodding to traditional Native American moccasins with stylish details on the upper, the shoes combine suede with textile up top, foam in the midsole, and rubber traction underneath. And despite being step-ins, the mocs will still give you enough support like a pair of lace-up shoes.

Nike ACG Phassad

It’s been a few months since Nike’s outdoor-focused ACG line released a new pair of shoes, and what a pair to return with. Resurrecting the fan-favorite trail runner from 2003, the athletic brand has debuted the new Phassad in two colorways. We really fancy the Cave Stone variant you see here, with a synthetic leather upper that looks to tent flaps as inspiration for its shroud, which can be buckled down when you’re ready to hit the trail. For comfort, you’ll get an Air midsole cushioning, but it’s the rugged rubber outsole that will keep you stable on different terrain.

Nike Air Jordan 5 Retro “Grape”

Nike Air Jordan 5 Retro Grape F 6 25

This month, Nike honors the “Grape” variant of the Air Jordan 5s. Debuting in 1990, this then-controversial colorway was the one that finally veered from the iconic black and red that was emblematic of the sneaker’s namesake. Everything here carries over from the standard AJ5, including the overall design language, the visible Air pouch, the iconic lace lock, and the sharktooth midsole design. However, you get a mostly white upper with teal and purple that will take you right back to the ‘90s.
