ASICS has gradually shed its “dad shoe” connotation over the past few years, and its newest release proves it may even be years ahead of its competitors, too. If you’re looking for breathability, the performance brand’s ACTIBREEZE 3D Sandal is the way to go.
The technical piece of footwear is aimed toward post-run recovery, as it offers zoned comfort and a thick composition for optimized support. Additionally, it features an open lattice makeup that paves the way for advanced cooling capabilities, so you won’t have to worry about getting even hotter once your workout session is over. Above all else, the sandal’s wide basenets provide the stability you need, as opposed to lesser examples that your foot would typically slide around in.
We’ve seen several other 3D-printed kicks throughout 2022, namely the HERON01 and a handful of pairs from adidas. Moreover, the latest choice from ASICS is merely one example of how this unique manufacturing process is becoming more popular. The Japanese brand’s latest addition to its cooling-centered ACTIBREEZE line will only be available in a black-on-black color palette. While trusty recovery shoes aren’t hard to come by, we haven’t seen a premium pair of sandals built for the occasion — until now, anyway.
The ACTIBREEZE 3D Sandal is not available yet, but you can sign up for future updates if you’re interested in trying a pair. In the meantime, ASICS’ webshop lists it at $80.
