Rimowa Shows Its Holiday Spirit with a Pair of New Suitcase Colors

If you’re a constant traveler, odds are you’re beyond familiar with the gluttony of luggage brands that have surfaced over the past few years. And while many offer solid products at a better price than most brands, it’s safe to assume none of them would be around if not for the genuine granddaddy of them all: Rimowa. The Cologne-based accessory giant is now wheeling out a pair of its popular polycarbonate suitcases in colors suitable for the season.

Overtaking a trio of Rimowa’s popular products are the new glossy color options dubbed Pine and Raspberry — in other words, green and red. Moreover, these pleasantly eye-popping hues couldn’t have come at a better time, be it with the holidays right around the corner; however, the brand claims they are inspired by “the vast and untamed Nordic forests.” Nevertheless, the Essential Cabin Carry-On, Check-In, and Trunk Plus models retain every bit of functionality through this somewhat jolly redesign, boasting TSA-approved locks, loads of internal organization, and a multi-wheel system that makes getting around the airport an absolute breeze.

While it’s hard to compare it to the heritage brand’s aluminum-crafted flagship, the Essential line of luggage made history in its own right upon hitting the scene, touted as “the world’s first ever polycarbonate suitcase.” As we said earlier, this has significantly influenced brands like AWAY and Monos, a pair of social media-savvy examples that manufacture luggage products from the same rugged material.
