Prince has dominated the tennis world ever since it launched in 1970, subsequently becoming a mainstay throughout the Golden Age of the ‘80s and onward. Today, the American-born outfit is still the leading manufacturer of tennis rackets on a worldwide level. If you’ve ever watched a lick of tennis, you’ll instantly recognize the indelible font used for its lowercase logo. It’s also what helped inspire Vancouver-based athleticwear company Reigning Champ’s latest collection.

Dubbed Prince vs. Reigning Champ, the new line consists of ten pieces of clothing and accessories, all graced with Prince’s branding. While accessories include a 3-pack of tennis balls, a towel, a visor, and a bucket hat, the marquee item is a limited edition of Prince’s Original Graphite 107 Racquet, which features a monogram for both brands on the grid, as well as a white colorway with green accents. The POG 107 has been a standard in the sport since the ‘80s and still remains an icon of tennis. This iteration also comes in a white case.

As for the clothing in this collection, Prince vs. Reigning Champ is rolling out with several pieces, all colored white with green accents or branding, including the midweight jersey t-shirt with flatlock seams and semi-raglan sleeves. Meanwhile, the retro-looking Prince Polo is made for the court, with a lowercase “p” monogrammed on the chest. The shirt is breathable and stretchy, made from quick-drying polyester and equipped with three metal snap buttons. Equally comfortable and performative is the Prince Short, crafted from Solotex Mesh and featuring flatlock seams. Additionally, the crewneck and hoodie are both made from lightweight terry cotton.

All ten pieces will be available either in-store or on Reigning Champ’s website, beginning June 28 and ranging in price from $17 to $200.

Purchase: $17+
