In the watch community, Eric Wind is largely considered to be the leading expert in vintage timepieces, with a personal collection that boasts around 50 pieces. In 2017, he launched Wind Vintage, a website featuring a curated selection of watches across all price points that collectors can purchase for themselves. Wind has his own podcast called Significant Watches and is frequently called upon to source vintage watches for Hollywood productions. Now, the watch expert has partnered with MR PORTER for a curated selection of 11 vintage timepieces that you can purchase.

The collection features watches as old as 1948 and as recent as 1997, with highlights including a 1967 Rolex Submariner Meters First Automatic, which is an example of the brand’s most prolific diver that stopped production in the late ‘80s. This particular piece features a well-preserved dial with pale yellow lume, a bezel with a Long 5 insert, and a stretch-rivet bracelet. Another Rolex in the collection is the GMT-Master Automatic from 1981, Ref. 16750 — a highly-coveted model for collectors. This particular version of the classic Pepsi GMT up for sale is dubbed the “Magnum P.I. Pepsi” model for its association with the Tom Selleck series, where the character wore this same reference.

A 1970 Zenith El Primero Automatic with a white dial and red leather rallye strap, which pairs splendidly with the red chronograph hand, is also up for grabs. The El Primero is considered one of, if not the first automatic chronograph ever produced, and having debuted in 1969, this example is a particularly early one. Other highlights of the sale include a 1992 Omega Speedmaster Professional and a ‘70s-era Vulcain Cricket, arguably the most iconic alarm watch ever made and one that’s been given to nearly every modern president. This one sports a stylish dial with competing blue-green vertical metallic tones and a brown leather strap.

Check out the Eric Wind collection for yourself on MR PORTER’s website, with prices ranging from $1,900 for a ‘60s-era Longines to the $19,800 Submariner on the upper end.

Purchase: $1,900+
