Since we first saw one in person as a kid, we knew we had to master the art of the wheelie. It’s the kind of skill that separates the experienced riders from the wannabes, but always took a ton of practice and time to get it right. But Sacramento-based Wheelie Fun Bike has just flipped that script entirely with their debut V1 model, an electric pitbike that literally does wheelies at the push of a button. No practice required.

The Float Life Legacy
The minds behind Wheelie Fun Bike come from The Float Life (TFL), a company that’s been developing aftermarket OneWheel accessories since 2017. Founder Jeff McCosker isn’t just familiar with balance-point physics but actually invented the float plate that enabled OneWheel nose slides and helped birth the entire freestyle OneWheel scene. Now he’s applying that same self-balancing technology to two wheels, using an inertial measurement unit (IMU) that automatically manages motor torque and balance during wheelies.

Two Modes, Zero Skills Needed
The V1 offers two distinct approaches to automated stunts. “Push to Wheelie” is exactly what it sounds like. You hold down the red button on your right handlebar and the bike locks into a preset wheelie angle. Lean forward to accelerate, lean back to slow down. It’s intuitive enough that anyone who can ride a bike can immediately start pulling wheelies that would take months to master otherwise.
The “Digital Wheelie Bar” mode gives you more traditional control while still preventing disaster. Pin the throttle to lift the front wheel, and the IMU prevents you from looping backward. eliminating the main fear factor that keeps most riders from attempting wheelies in the first place. There’s even a “Wheel Lift Resistance” setting for those who prefer keeping both wheels planted during aggressive launches.
Serious Performance in a Mini Package
Despite the compact design, this thing packs legitimate performance specs like a 5,000+ watt hub motor that pushes the V1 past 35 mph and a 72V battery to deliver over 30 miles of range. An optional 20Ah battery will double that distance when it becomes available. The 6-inch high-torque rear hub motor provides enough grunt to make acceleration feel genuinely wild, and full suspension keeps things controlled over rough terrain.
The custom tube frame design channels vintage pit bike aesthetics, complete with a banana-style seat that’s specifically angled for support while performing the stunt. Front disc brakes help with stopping while an adjustable regenerative rear brake helps recharge the battery during deceleration.

There’s an App for That
For complete customization, Wheelie Fun made a companion app that includes a real-time dashboard feature to show speed, battery level, and power input when riding. You can also set up you riding mode where you can optimize range, power, and comfort. Meanwhile, a custom tuning section lets you adjust throttle response, brake strength, wheelie angle, and even anti-loop sensitivity to match your riding style. The brand also promised future updates to include leaderboards for comparing wheelie distances.
