Many of us have dreamed of living life on the open road. In fact, with the remote job market booming now more than ever, it’s never been easier to be a permanent transient. However, large class A RVs have limited accessibility and the smaller class Cs don’t really have everything you need to become a full-time denizen of America’s highways and byways.
Enter wanderBOX, a class C RV outfitter that lets you stray off the grid without losing any of the luxury and amenities of a class A. Made for extended time away from civilization, wanderBOX lets you stay as long as you want with its surprisingly sprawling floorplan and economic layout. Utilizing three sources of power, the company’s debut vehicle, Outpost 35, holds 190 gallons of diesel gas and 200 gallons of fresh water, and is capable of 2,800W of solar energy which then charges the 24,000Wh lithium batteries, more than twice that of its competitors.
Built with a home office, a king-sized bed, a spacious kitchen and dining area, and even a washer and dryer, the wanderBOX setup has everything you’ll need for life on and off the road, no matter how long you choose to be there. The Outpost is built from a Ford factory 4WD, powered by a 6.7L PowerStroke diesel engine with 330hp.
At first glance, the Outpost 35 looks like an actual apartment, if it weren’t for the naturally low ceilings of the vehicle itself. If you’re looking to get one of these for yourself, head on over to wanderBOX’s website. The base configuration begins at $399,000, but getting all the bells and whistles will cost you over $1 million.
