We’ve mentioned it before, but the recreational vehicle space is hotter than ever. In particular, we’re seeing an unprecedented level of innovation from ATV and side-by-side companies throughout the space in the form of electrification. One of the companies with such an offering is Volcon, which sets to raise the bar on what electric UTVs are capable of with their new side-by-side, the Beast.
The Volcon Beast features a rugged design that’s akin to something you’d see in the Halo series. With 160kw cranking out of its dual high-torque electric motors, the Volcon Beast boasts twice the power output of its predecessor, the Stag. Keeping all of that power in check are the Beast’s advanced traction control and active suspension systems, while an extended range of up to 150 miles per charge gives you peace of mind when out exploring. The Beast features a water-resistant drivetrain that allows it to handle virtually all conditions and also has a 4-wheel-drive function. Moreover, purchasers will have the pleasure of choosing from two options: a 46 kWh battery option or a 92 kWh battery option. Aside from its striking and aggressive silhouette, the Beast’s 77″ width is a standout trait that lends to its monstrous name.
While Volcon has yet to release more of the specifications, it’s evident that the Beast is a significant upgrade to its smaller predecessor, the Stag, as well as a stout all-terrain vehicle. Volcon has yet to reveal pricing or an official release date for the Beast.
