Closing in on vaporware territory, the Tesla Cybertruck had yet to be delivered to customers some four years after its debut. That is, until this past week when a big event was held in Austin so that around a dozen people could finally get their all-electric angular truck. Four years of waiting has meant that other brands have had time to prepare their own supplementary products. One such California-based firm, which is a neighbor of the Tesla design center in Hawthorne, has unveiled a new off-road kit for the Cybertruck to provide you with a rugged experience without losing any of the vehicle’s elegance.
For about a decade, Unplugged Performance has become known for its UP INVINCIBLE kits for Tesla models and now it ropes the Cybertruck in with the bunch. Although the product range includes over 20 different items, the highlight is the 2.5-Inch Lift Kit, which retains the optimized suspension geometry and functionality of the truck while supplying you with “Baja-ready” heavy-duty 5-Axis CnC 6061 billet machined suspension components to improve your approach, breakover, and departure angles. Along with the Lift Kit, there’s also the HD Front Bumper, HD Rear Bumper, both made of high-strength carbon steel and replacing the stock plastic units.
Other components include Front & Rear Carbon Fiber Fender Flares, HD Rock Sliders, Underbody Armor, an HD Front Bull Bar, an HD Roof Rack Set, High-Performance Street & Off-Road Brake Rotors, and a Carbon Fiber Hood System with a UP INVINCIBLE 50” LED Light Bar. You can also swap out the wheels for one of two options: 20” UP-03 Beadlock Forged Wheels or CYBRHEX Forged Wheels (available in 20” or 22”). You can buy either of them alone or paired with BF Goodrich All-Terrain T/A tires.
