First established in 2012, BAAK Motocyclettes is an elite French customs shop that’s renowned for its ultra-clean, vintage-inspired designs and factory-level fit and finish. Headquartered out of Lyon, France and boasting a new U.S. location in Los Angeles, BAAK offers a wide range of limited series builds and bolt-on kits — the latest of which sees the French firm bestow Triumph’s retro desert sled-style Scrambler 1200 model to the adventure bike treatment.

Based on the buyer’s choice of either the XC or XE-spec of Triumph’s Scrambler 1200, the 1200 Aventures kit aims to equip the already off-road-capable British-built donor bike with more adventure-focused long-range touring capabilities. Comprising the kit is a 6.6-gallon aluminum tank, a set of aluminum side covers, and a new boxy, navigation tower-equipped adventure-style fairing that’s also crafted from aluminum and comes complete with mounting bracket, a tall windscreen, and a set of side-by-side LED headlights.

The kit also features a custom leather seat offered with ribbed or diamond-pattern stitching and in a myriad of color options. Bolting directly on to the donor’s tubular steel frame, the kit also retains the Triumph’s 89-hp liquid-cooled 1,200cc parallel-twin engine and modern electronics package. Numbered and sold with a certificate of authenticity, each kit is also offered with a wide range of configurable options for the build’s paint, seat, and finishes.

The BAAK Motocyclettes 1200 Aventures is available for order now, with pricing for the kit set at €8,900 (~ $8,875) — plus the cost of the donor (which is $14,445 for the XC and $15,845 for the more high-end XE spec). The price of each kit also includes professional installation. BAAK is also selling a handful of the components used in the build as a la carte items such as the tank, fairings, seat, and side covers.
