Tonke Transforms Mercedes EQVs into Kitted-Out Electric Sleeper Vans

As we witness the continued preponderance of electric vehicles over the next few years, it goes without saying that the number of electric RVs will also increase. Leading the way already is the Dutch-based RV company Tonke, which has recently added some outfitted Class C Mercedes EQVs to its lineup of sleeper vans and trailers.

Available in both EQV Adventure and EQV Touring, the new models from Tonke allow for more freedom when traveling and living on the road. Both vehicles have a 100kWh battery pack with nearly 224mi of range. The Touring model is a sleeper van through and through, seating four passengers with a sofa that folds down into a bed electronically. An outward kitchen opens from the side door and features a sink, electric-induction dual-burner stovetop, 36L refrigerator, and plenty of storage space. The kitchen front doubles as your tabletop.

The Adventure model, which is configured to seat 5 passengers, with 7-person options available, is a more versatile pick for those who want a driving EV with a sleeper option. The rear seat folds down into a bed and the pop-top gives you extra headroom, as well as two extra sleeping places. There’s also the option to add a removable kitchen that’s positioned in the rear of the van for cooking underneath the tailgate.

Tonke is known not only for its plethora of configurations for users to personalize their experiences, but also for the quality of materials used, such as the stainless steel yacht hinges and heat-resistant plywood for the furniture. Both the EQV Adventure and EQV Touring are now available to customize through Tonke’s website.
