First unveiled in May of last year, the Polaris XPEDITION is an adventure-specific side-by-side that takes its name from the vehicle’s true expedition-grade performance and amenities, with seating for up to five, a fully-covered cab, a cargo box, 20” of usable suspension travel, and a 2,000-pound towing capacity. In a bid to demonstrate the highly adaptable and modular nature of the XPEDITION, Polaris has tapped Easton Eisele of Draco UTV to transform a stock XPEDITION SxS into a go-anywhere overlander built specifically for adventure photographer Quin Schrock.

Drawing ample inspiration from off-road sprinter van builds, this one-off side-by-side project is based on the five-seat model and comes loaded with everything needed for an adventure photographer to operate for an extended period while out in the field. Taking the already-immensely-capable donor’s off-roading abilities to new heights, this Draco-built side-by-side benefits from an enormous slew of go-anywhere bits, overlanding items, and hardware upgrades. This includes a PRO 6 Roof rack light, chase lights, Flex Era A pillar lights, and rock lights all courtesy of Kchilites, as well as a Pro Eagle Jack and mount, a Draco roof rack, and a custom Draco bed now accommodating a Draco custom rear tent. Riding on 15” KMC beadlock wheels shod in 35” EFX tires, the project also features a top-shelf HCR long-travel suspension setup with a 72” track and a full powder-coating.

The exterior has also been cloaked in a custom shade of green metallic paint. The interior of the build has also been heavily reworked, and now sports bespoke leather upholstery, a custom headliner, one-off steering wheel, custom door handles, and a bespoke dash. The cabin has also been bestowed with a mattress and a slide-out kitchen complete with an onboard refrigerator and sink. Rounding out the project is a solar power panel with a power pack, several roof rack storage boxes, a roof rack shower, and a roof rack awning. This generous slew of modifications and upgrades ultimately turn the Polaris SxS model into an incredibly capable off-roader and overlander that boasts the performance and amenities needed to spend an extensive period off-grid.
