Aston Martin’s Volante Celebrates 60 Years With These Gorgeous Bronze-Kissed DB12 and Vanquish

Aston Martin’s convertible legacy reaches a milestone worth celebrating. The British marque has been using the Volante nameplate for six decades, first appearing on the ultra-rare Short Chassis Volante in 1965, of which only 37 were ever built.

Now, Q by Aston Martin honors that heritage with two meticulously crafted anniversary editions of the DB12 and Vanquish that are among the most beautiful vehicles made by the company.

Bronze-Kissed Beauty

Both the DB12 and Vanquish 60th Anniversary editions share a stunning design language that immediately sets them apart from their standard siblings. Painted in Q Pentland Green for the exterior, the vehicles feature a slightly deeper Westminster Green fabric roof, creating a sophisticated two-tone approach.

But the real showstopper is the anodized bronze treatment across key design elements, such as the vaned grille, transforming what’s already an iconic Aston Martin signature into something more exclusive. Those same bronze accents flow to the side strakes — precision-milled from solid billet aluminum — and the unique 21-inch satin bronze wheels with diamond-turned edges. Even the brake calipers get black Aston Martin branding to complete the visual package.

Interior Craftsmanship Worthy of the Name

Step inside either model and you’re greeted by a tri-tone leather arrangement that balances Centenary Saddle Tan, Ivory, and Woven finishes. Dark Walnut Open Pore veneers complement bronze touchpoints throughout the cabin, while bespoke 60th Anniversary embroidery on the headrests adds the commemorative touch. The rear of the front seats in both models feature walnut finishing.

Two Approaches, Same Excellence

The Vanquish Volante takes the performance crown with its 5.2-liter twin-turbo V12 producing 835hp and 738lb.ft of torque. This makes it the most powerful production convertible Aston Martin has ever built, capable of 214 mph and 0-60 in 3.4 seconds. It’s a two-seater focused purely on maximizing the open-air driving experience.

The DB12 Volante offers a more versatile approach with its 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 generating 671hp and 590lb.ft of torque. The 2+2 configuration and 202 mph top speed (0-60 in 3.6 seconds) position it as the more practical choice for those who want both performance and grand touring capability.
