Built for only a six-month period starting in 1993 during which time only 51 examples were produced, the Porsche 911 Carrera 3.8 RSR is undeniably one of the rarest and most sought-after models in the Stuttgart firm’s recent history. As such, acquiring one of these widebody turbo models can be extremely difficult, which is why the EV conversion specialists at Everrati are giving Porsche enthusiasts an option to get the next best thing with a modernized and electrified recreation of the mighty 911 Carrera 3.8 RSR.

Each build starts out as a more easily-accessible (customer-sourced) Porsche 964 donor that first undergoes an extensive restoration before being massively overhauled, customized, and fully electrified. Riding on a set of multi-piece 18” HRE wheels, Everrati’s EV RSR tribute sports a custom set of widebody-style carbon fiber bodywork complete with a redesigned, more affective aero kit that features a bigger rear wing and a revised front splitter. Trimmed in leather from Everrati partner Bridge of Weir Leather — maker of the world’s lowest carbon leather — the interior of the car gets a rear-seat delete, a new rear roll cage, Apple CarPlay, and lightweight seats.

Capable of doing 0-60mph in 3.7 seconds, Everrati’s 964 RSR model is powered by a several OEM-grade high-performance electric motors that collectively send 500hp to the EV conversion’s rear wheels via a limited slip differential. The motors draw from a second-generation OEM-grade 63kWh battery pack and battery management system that together afford a range of 200 miles per charge and are compatible with both AC and DC Fast charging. Further modernizing the 964’s performance is a state-of-the-art, fully-adjustable, electronically-controlled active and adaptive TracTive suspension setup. Like all Everrati builds, this EV conversion will be offered with a wide range of custom-configurable options.

The Everrati Porsche 964 RSR EV Conversion is available for reservation now on the company’s website. And, while a price hasn’t been listed, we anticipate a starting price of between $400,000 and $500,000 based on the £290,000 (~ $371,000) cost of Everrati’s Porsche 911 Signature Widebody EV — figures that don’t include the cost of the donor car.
